Week 4 - IM's

This week was easy for me. I've been IM'ing for many years since I've learned to use the computer, I am a Grandmother and I also send text messages.

I agree with what I read about using im'ing at work, it would be less of an interruption and we could work more quietly if we were to utilize IMing (if we were allowed to, that is!).

Week 3 - Wikis

Learning about the wikis was easy. I had no trouble signing up for an account.

I typed in a couple of searches on different subjects and was thrilled. I can change this myself? Ok, so I typed into one with a subject I am familiar with (quilting) and actually added a few words into a description of what a quilt is!

I can easily see how a group or even a family can enter their own lists, etc. maybe going on a vacation together or getting together for Thanksgiving dinner as to who is bringing what, etc.

I can't wait to show my daughters! They think Mom can't learn new things!

Week 2 - RSS

I didn't have any trouble setting up the Google Reader or adding subscriptions to my account. I think I may have too many. I tried both ways, clicking the 'subscribe' key and copy and pasting a site to the reader. I had fun doing this once I watched the tutitorial a couple of times. His page (Andy Wibble's)didn't look like mine while I was searching. I put a weather page on and news sites and some food sites.
